Water Tower, Artesia, CA, 2013
Artesia water tower is one of the main landmarks in the City of Artesia. AQX was retained by the City to conduct the assessment of structural conditions of this Historical water tower built with steel posts and diagonal bracings.
A computer model of the tower was developed with SAP 2000 and stress checks conducted for each of structural members and joint connections among them. Recommendations to strengthen some members and connections were provided to the City.
